Corn-hole-shot

Photobucket
When r5 was in college, an anatomy professor was lecturing on the digestive system and stated that it takes 8 hours for food to go from mouth to butt. r5 knew better and wanted to know "Why does corn come out quicker?" Professor was stumped.

As cyclocross mirrors life, r5 found a couple of kernels from Nubraska in the sandbagging pile of turd worthy of being called out:
Crist the Cornking and Husker-DooDoo-Schmidt.
Last year at Capital Cup, Cornking had a big crash yet still motored up to finish 2nd, dusting a solid local field. At Boulevard Cup, he simply rode away from the outclassed pack. With high placings at Jingle Cross, he cemented his status as a bagger who definitely needs to CTFU.

His buddy Husker-Doodoo-Schmidt finished 23 races as a Cat4 in 2009, winning one and placing top 5 multiple times. His cat4 tenure has almost been as long as Pumpkin' Head's who finally appears to have CTFU'd this year.

On a scale of 1-10, both of these guys score perfect 10s.

  1. No more KC sandbaggers? Mission Accomplished!

  2. Didn't Nebraska defect to Canada, I mean the Big 10. So, nobody really cares about what Nebraska does anymore. Plus, I thought they all quit CX to do gravel road racing.

  5. Day after day, day after day,
    We stuck, nor breath nor motion;
    As idle as a painted ship
    Upon a painted ocean.

  7. You know what sucks worse than KCA, or 360Racing, or Series60, or Marg or Mark or whoever not producing these results?

    The fact that nobody will say WHY we can't get these results!

  10. Nice literary review you have here.

    I'll carry a memory stick to Manion's tomorrow AND if the same KCA computer is at the event I'll download the results and post at localcycling.com and series60cx.com I suspect 'real' life got in the way of the KCA folks responsible for posting and forwarding. Nobody's getting rich being a USAC official.

  15. Enjoy your blog-it's really funny (even when you're ragging on me). I upgraded last year to a 2 the instant I had enough points (the KC database is always out of date). I'd ride open instead of masters, but I like to get back to Nubraska before midnight. I'll start riding 40+ instead of 50+ (and I am 50, r.a. 51) if it makes you happy. Keep up the great work (seriously).
